Penjelasan:

1. "Sarah and her sister" adalah (plural) jadi kita menggunakan to be "are" bukan "is"

2. fokus pada subjek ke dua yaitu my mother yg bentuk nya adalah singular. Maka verb yang di pakai harus berbentuk di singular juga "looks"

3. fokus pada noun ke dua yaitu my books yg bentuk nya adalah plural Maka to be yang di pakai adalah "were"

sedangkan was boleh dipakai ketika noun atau subjek nya berbentuk singular

4. fokus pada object/noun ke dua yaitu the store yg bentuk nya adalah singular. Maka to be yang di pakai adalah "opens"

5. fokus pada subjek ke dua yaitu the headmaster yg bentuk nya adalah singular Maka to be yang di pakai adalah "is"
