Jamie put the key in the lock and turned it. The door opened slightly, and he found himself inside the abandoned cabin. The empty chamber was barren, dusty, and decaying, he found conviction to carry himself forward to investigate the noise that alarmed him earlier. He was terrified, shocked to suddenly find himself in this situation, alone and afraid. The sound of glass shattering soon broke his trance and he found himself locking eyes with a feral dog, a predator consumed with rage and anger, it leaped towards him in a sudden ambush. Fortunately, he managed to evade his assailant and escape through the door, but not before locking it again. Soon after this, he swore to always be cautious about what he does and where he travels.
